Whitley Bridges Ballard
Hip Hop II, III & IV
Whitley Bridges has had a passion for dancing since the age of four. She is trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop. She was a member of the Junior Varsity Jackette squad for 3 years. During those three years, Whitley served as Co-Captain, Captain, danced along with the Varsity Jackettes and was also named an American All-Star. She was a Varsity Cheerleader in high school for 3 years, serving as cheer committee chair person her junior year and Captain her senior year. Whitley choreographed both squads' halftime performances, pep- rallies and competition routines. She was a member of Covington Dance Company's company class for the 2008-2009 year and she was a teaching assistant for the 2010-2011 year for the Teen Jazz class. Whitley completed her Bachelor's Degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She is also a licensed massage therapist.
Intermediate Pointe, Intensive Ballet & Advanced II Ballet and Pointe
Brittany Brignac Devall has been studying dance for twenty five years. She studied with the Baton Rouge Ballet Theater at the Dancers' Workshop. During her training there, she performed in the Baton Rouge Ballet Theater's "The Nutcracker" for seven consecutive years and made multiple appearances in the BRBT "Spring Concert". In high school, Brittany was a member of the Parkview Baptist "Silver Stepper" dance team. While in high school, she was chosen to be a staff member of the Universal Dance Association and named an American All-Star. Brittany has danced at Broadway Dance Center in New York City and also served as a judge for numerous dance team auditions. During college, Brittany furthered her training at Tari's School of Dance, taught at Jete Dance Company, and was a Louisiana State University Golden Girl for two years. She is a graduate in Fashion Merchandising from Louisiana State University. Brittany has been teaching at Covington Dance Company for six years.
Kristie Price Faust
Advanced I Intensive Tap and Company Tap
Kristie Price Faust has been dancing for over 25 years. She was a member of the Loranger High Wolfette dance team for 4 years. While dancing as a Wolfette, she was selected as an American All-Star dancer and served as Captain. Kristie was also the owner and director of a local dance studio for 8 years offering ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical instruction. She graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2003 as a registered nurse and from the University of South Alabama in 2011 as a pediatric nurse practitioner.
Heather Crowe Simmons
Intermediate & Junior Jazz
Heather Crowe Simmons began dancing at the age of 3. She attended Rowanna Currier’s studio of dance for 14 years, where she was a member of the Louisiana Heat Dance Company for 3 years. Heather was a Jackette at Oak Forest Academy for 6 years, where she served as Captain her 9th & 12th grade years. She was also selected as an American All-Star for 3 years & got the opportunity to travel to London, England to perform. After high school, Heather went on to dance for the SLU Lionette Dance Team for 4 years & performed at the UDA Collegiate Nationals each year in Orlando, Florida. While finishing her college degree, she was chosen to be a member of the New Orleans Saintsation Dance Team. Heather is a graduate in Elementary Education from Southeastern Louisiana University.
Primary II Ballet & Tap, Beginner II Ballet & Tap and Mini Jazz
Elizabeth Hennington has been actively involved in dance since the early age of three. She is trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and pointe dance styles. Throughout her life, Elizabeth attended countless dance camps and conventions, such as Hollywood Vibe & The Pulse, and also attended various UDA camps in south Louisiana. She has been a part of the CDC family for eight years, where she was a student, company member and also assistant teacher. Not only was Elizabeth actively involved in studio dance, but she was also a Varsity and Jr. Varsity Jackette at Oak Forrest Academy from grades 7-12. She held the position of Co-Captain her 8th ,9th & 11th grade years, and was selected as Captain her 12th grade year.
Hip Hop 1
Delany Johnson began dancing at the age of 3. She attended Mrs. Rowanna Currier's Studio of Dance, where she studied tap and ballet. She also attended Center Stage Studio and studied hip hop. She has danced with Covington Dance Company for the past 8 years, studying tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop. She was a member of Covington Dance Company's Company Class for 4 years also serving as an assistant teacher for hip hop. Delany graduated from Oak Forest Academy. She was a member of the JV Jackettes for 3 years and served as dance committee chairperson. She also was a Varsity Cheerleader for 3 years. Delany is currently attending North Shore Community College, where she will receive a degree in Medical Assistant. Dancing has always been an enjoyment for Delany. She is thankful for having this opportunity to share and enhance her dance technique with other dancers.
Assistant Choreographer/Class Assistant
Lauren Miller Kebodeaux has studied dance for over 20 years. She was a member of the Northshore Academy of Dance
competition team in Covington, LA and also Captain of the Covington High School "Dancin Darlins". Lauren is trained
in the areas of Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Pointe, and Hip Hop. A graduate in General Studies from Louisiana State University,
one of her proudest accomplishments is the five years she spent as an LSU Golden Girl! In addition to the demands of
a college dance team, she also studied dance while at LSU. Lauren has choreographed for junior high and high school
dance teams around the United States and also teaches jazz and competition prep classes for Northshore Academy of
Dance in Covington. Lauren's background blending classical training with Hip Hop and Jazz Techniques, in addition to
her performance experience, is exactly what is most beneficial for dancers!
